Ballarama Pinball is bringing excitement - making games for generations to come.
We are creating innovative pinball games and enjoy being part of a thriving pinball community!
Ballarama Pinball offers a place where pinball enthusiasts can feel they belong - and we want you to have a part in developing our innovative games.
We want to be a part of the expanding pinball industry. But not only that – we want to take pinball to places it’s not been to yet.
We want to change the landscape! Our mission is to give back to the pinball community that has welcomed us with open arms. With Ian's engineering expertise and Barbra's eye for impactful design we think our innovative product will excite and challenge – and then stand the test of time!
New and exciting designs that every pinball enthusiast will be rapt to get their hands on!
Why reinvent the wheel when there are perfectly good machines already? Pinball players are always looking for new challenges, and Ian as an engineer, can innovate games to take pinball further. Globally there is currently a stream of new game development. Riding the stream, Ballarama Pinball brings even more life with some cool new, never been seen features and layouts.
Innovation is cool but that’s not enough if a game doesn’t play well. How does it feel? Our pinball games are fast, precise, organised and with rulesets that include tantalisingly obscure top level goals. Once you’ve played you won’t want to stop.
Yes, yes, it's not all about the design and how it looks but how reliable is it? To keep our games operating and players playing, our machines are designed and built with reliability in mind. A game that just works goes hand in hand with one that plays freely. Ballarama Pinball machines are ready for some hardcore playing! They will definitely stand the test of time.
We will always be innovating and updating game code to make our pinball landscape more enjoyable, exciting and addictive!
What happens if there is wear and tear? It is a machine after all, and after hours and years of playing your machine may need some TLC. We will provide you with the spares you need! You'll be back playing in no time!
We are not a set and forget business. Our customers will always feel supported, we guarantee it!
From a young age Ian always wanted to be an engineer – taking stuff apart to see how it worked and mostly getting it back together again. That’s where his career started.
He’s still working in engineering and over the years has gathered a heap of experience in design, manufacturing, and most importantly – finishing with working products in
production.
Ian’s interest in pinball is intense. This started from getting a buzz playing pinball at Uni many years ago. Now he desires the buzz of designing and manufacturing pinball games. Those who know his current playing skills would doubt he’s ever touched a machine, yet he understands everything that goes into making pinball great. Even though Ian has proven design and management skills, he knows that more knowledge and
expertise than he has is needed to produce the ultimate pinball game. We're looking to add team members with specific pinball expertise.

After bringing up her family Barbra chose a working life in childcare management, ranging from Corporate Management to not-for-profit childcare centres, across Australia and New Zealand, designing and setting up new centres, and training staff.
Theatre life has always been a love of Barbra’s, and over the last decade she has worked as a seamstress for an Urban theatre company designing and making costumes. One of her greatest dreams was to be a seamstress for a major theatre
company.
Barbra now spends her time as a Creative Abstract Artist with her own business called Bold Colour Art. Her inspiration comes from the surrounds of her city with the beautiful colours of nature and flora. This inspires the use of natural materials, abstract shapes, colours and designs which can be seen in her art today.
Delving into pinball graphics for themes and advertising Barbra will add a massive leap in creativity to the pinball scene.
Heidi is a self-taught Acrylic and Digital artist who specialises in painting fantasy and science fiction themes.
She started her art journey 3 years ago when she realised that working as a banker wasn’t bringing her joy anymore. She quit and started painting every day, while also working as an operations coordinator in the cleaning industry.
Heidi took off the training wheels and finally became a full-time artist, selling prints of her own work, doing commissioned landscapes and teaching painting to others.
When not painting, Heidi likes to build aquariums, play video games, and watch sci-fi movies with her partner and cat.

Grant has always been involved with tinkering around with building things and Electronics from a young age, due to the influence of his Electrician Father. He especially liked making Dick Smith Electronic Kits, and his interest has led to a long career in the Elevator Industry working with advanced technical electrical and electronics equipment.
Grant has always had a love of pinball since the 1970’s, and has lost that love of playing the Silver ball… He has seen the Rise, fall and now Rise again of Pinball and has loved seeing the various innovations that have progressed the Industry up to the Wonderful Modern Pin’s of today.
So with a combination of interest and skills, he decided to make his own pinball a few years ago.
He created the “Battle Pinny”, a head to head pinball, with 2 players, playing against each other at each end of the pinball. Part of Grant’s Vision for Battle Pinny was for it to be shown at numerous Pinball events that raise money for Charity and help promote Pinball to the General Community.
Grant is looking forward to giving his design skills and electronic knowledge to assist Ballarama to bring a new innovative Pinball to the Pinball Playing and General Community.
Studio 351 is a dedicated and productive YouTube channel built from a semi professional audio and video outfit. Directed and run by Andy Perry, it provides an outlet for talented musicians from Mildura, Sunraysia and beyond.
For Andy music has always been a first love and recording has provided an alternative to the grind of playing out with live gigging each weekend. Starting off with a fostek four track tape recorder almost 30 years ago, Andy has progressed to a ‘Presonus 24 channel’ pro studio recording outfit accompanied by a dedicated vocal sound booth, spacious recording room with all access for video and editing to produce all of studio 351’s you tube videos.
Andy working together with Marko Mathews at studio 351 bring their energy and expertise with the goal of making their channel one of the biggest and engaging in the world of YouTube, for not only in their home town of Mildura, but well beyond the borders of their imagination.

"Backbox Games has over 15 years of experience in both hardware and software design and integration. We have designed everything from guitar amplifiers to public transport applications.
When working on our own pinball machines, we really want to push the boundaries of what has been done before.
We have been working on a brand new pinball hardware system that provides pinball designers with an easy to use, all-in-one solution for electronics and software. This will allow designers to spend more time on making their games truly unique, and less time getting the machine up and running.
We are also working on some innovative software features that have never been seen in a pinball machine before, and we can’t wait to share these."
Ballarama Pinball greatly looks forward to Chris offering advice and consulting work, and through Backbox Games an ongoing supply of reliable and well integrated electronics.
